Added a few more strands today. And remind myself again: Every day that progress is made is a successful day...
Looks like bone deformation is providing the most control over the curls as for now. Good volume for 3d printing and already unwrapped strands for texturing as well.
There are so many ways in which you can do hair... rigging a hair strand to a bone chain and deforming that, just plain old sculpting, or creating hair brushes in Zbrush... which method to use? One thing I know though is that it's gonna have to be long, wavy curls.
Something's odd about the topology on the arms still... got to fix it later. Focus on hair shape first.
Trying to work out how Zbrush curves work and how to control them... need to get a basic hair style happening. To be continued.
